I was about 12 years old when I first came to hold in my hands a magical little box called a camera. At first I thought its purpose was simple -  press a button and record a memory or a thing. So long as you adjusted the settings for a proper exposure and made sure the picture was in focus, mission accomplished. You're now a photographer. Right?
Well I came to learn that there was more to that little box than I thought. Within it lay a bottomless pit of possibility to capture and manipulate the beauty of the world around us in dazzling ways. And I learned photography isn't about the image or the gear, it's about the emotion the image stirs inside us when we look at it.
